By using DriverProof, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

DriverProof collects information necessary to create, preserve, and provide access to vehicle inspection documentation.

Information collected may include:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Company name (when applicable)

  • Vehicle information

  • Trailer information

  • Inspection responses

  • Notes entered by the user

  • Photographs submitted during inspections

  • GPS location associated with inspections

  • Date and time information

  • Weather information associated with inspections

  • Device information necessary for application functionality

  • Subscription status

  • Account activity related to use of the Services

Information Automatically Generated

When an inspection is performed, DriverProof may automatically generate or associate additional metadata, including:

  • Inspection timestamps

  • Geographic location

  • Device identifiers required for service operation

  • Report identifiers

  • Inspection history references

  • System logs necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability

This information helps preserve inspection integrity and maintain reliable records.

How We Use Your Information

DriverProof uses collected information to:

  • Create inspection records.

  • Generate inspection reports.

  • Preserve inspection history.

  • Provide account access.

  • Deliver subscription services.

  • Improve application performance.

  • Maintain platform security.

  • Respond to customer support requests.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

  • Detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity.

DriverProof does not sell personal information to third parties.

Inspection Records

Inspection records are created to preserve documentation submitted by users.

Once finalized, inspection records are preserved in accordance with the Data Retention & Record Integrity Policy and are not altered through ordinary use of the Services.

Information Sharing

DriverProof does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Information may be shared only under the following circumstances:

  • With the user who created the inspection.

  • With individuals or organizations authorized by the user.

  • With fleet administrators when the user participates in an authorized fleet account.

  • With service providers that assist in operating DriverProof.

  • When required by law, subpoena, court order, or other lawful governmental request.

  • When necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of DriverProof or its users.

Service Providers

DriverProof may utilize third-party service providers to operate portions of the Services, including cloud storage, payment processing, analytics, communications, security monitoring, and infrastructure hosting.

These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are contractually expected to protect that information.

Payment Information

DriverProof does not store complete payment card information.

Payments are processed through authorized third-party payment processors. Payment information is handled in accordance with the privacy and security policies of those providers.

Data Security

DriverProof implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge that transmission and storage of information involve inherent risks.

Data Retention

Inspection records and related information are retained in accordance with the DriverProof Data Retention & Record Integrity Policy.

Retention periods may vary depending upon subscription status, legal requirements, operational needs, and applicable law.

User Access

Users may access information associated with their accounts through the DriverProof application, subject to subscription status and applicable retention policies.

Certain records preserved for historical integrity may not be modified or deleted once finalized.

Device Permissions

DriverProof may request permission to access device features including:

  • Camera

  • Photo library

  • Location services

  • Notifications

  • Internet connectivity

Permissions are requested solely to provide application functionality.

Users may decline certain permissions; however, doing so may limit application features.

Children's Privacy

DriverProof is intended for use by adults and commercial operators.

DriverProof does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If such information is discovered, DriverProof will take commercially reasonable steps to remove it.

International Users

DriverProof is operated from the United States.

Users accessing the Services from outside the United States acknowledge that information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed within the United States or other jurisdictions where DriverProof or its service providers operate.

Legal Requests

DriverProof may disclose information when required to comply with applicable laws, court orders, subpoenas, or other lawful governmental requests.

DriverProof may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users, enforce legal rights, or maintain platform security.

Business Transfers

If DriverProof is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, corporate restructuring, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and the continuing obligations described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

DriverProof may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, or improvements to the Services.

Material changes will become effective upon publication or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
