Legal Center

DriverProof is built on the principle that accurate, trustworthy documentation benefits everyone. This Legal Center explains the policies, terms, and standards that govern your use of DriverProof and describe how inspection records are created, protected, stored, and made available.

We believe legal documents should be understandable. While these documents are written to establish clear legal rights and responsibilities, they are also intended to explain how DriverProof operates in plain language whenever possible.

The documents below work together and should be read as a complete set. Certain policies reference or rely upon definitions contained in other documents.

DriverProof Principles

DriverProof was created to help drivers document vehicle inspections in a manner that emphasizes accuracy, accountability, and long-term record preservation.

DriverProof is a documentation platform. It is not a repair facility, maintenance provider, legal advisor, insurance company, or government agency. Responsibility for operating and maintaining commercial vehicles remains with the driver, carrier, owner, or other responsible party.

Once an inspection record has been finalized, it becomes part of a permanent inspection history and cannot be altered or deleted by the user. If additional information becomes available or corrections are necessary, those changes are documented through subsequent inspection records rather than modification of the original record.
